Education trips and Farm School planning
Mary had a little Lamb....
WELL...Mary had nothing on Ester! lambs, calves, ducks, chickens, an old goat, a bunny, 4 lizards, a tiny sand boa, 4 dogs, 2 cats, assortment of fish and given the state of her room probably a mouse or two.
All 3 of our girls started doing chores at a young age and have played important roles in the development of the farm. The farm was started as a homestead for them; to teach responsibility and the respect for our food we all should have.
NEWS FLASH...I have normal children that hate(d) doing chores and fought me the whole way. I now have Sophia at 19 in her third year at Norwich studying Engineering and Computer Science, Ivy, 17, partnering with me in the new Commercial side of this venture and Ester taking over the nursery animals, doing eggs and honey, at age 9 telling me she wants to part of the business too.
Not the easiest row to till but the results have been family memories and smart healthy kids!
